February 11 Pizza Night

During the January Pizza Night we voted to have "Game Night" during the February Pizza Night. We are looking for suggestions of games to play.

January Pizza Night: All About Dav!

It was a salute to the author of the popular CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS books during Pizza Night. Everyone got a copy of Dav Pilkey's comic strip bio of his early years and how he always wanted to make everyone laugh, even if it got him in trouble.

Everyone had an opportunity to draw their own "Bios." Some of the braver kids in the crowd even shared their stories with the rest of us.

The night was a big success with plenty of pizza for all.

Start Your New Year off With Pizza Night

Monday, January 14th is the first Pizza Night of the New Year. Come alone or bring a friend for pizza, good books and a special evening of games.
Pizza night starts at 7:00 PM and ends by 8:15 PM.
Hope to see you there.

Pizza Night Discussion

We had a great time tonight at the Pizza night! We made snowflakes to decorate the library and Mrs. Palmer talked about some of the library's new books. Then the group talked about their favorite books.

Here are some of the recommendations from the group if you are looking for something cool to read. Many of the following are series, so there is more than one book to read. You can search the library catalog for the books here: http://charlotte.delco.lib.pa.us/search Remember if the book you want to read is already checked out, you can ask the library staff to place a hold on the book for you. You can review the library's hold policy here: http://charlotte.delco.lib.pa.us/screens/policies.html.

The Beatrice letters by Lemony Snicket ; illustrated by Brett Helquist
Clue (Scholastic Inc.) by Marie Jacks or Eric Weiner
Diary of a wimpy kid : Greg Heffley's journal by Jeff Kinney.
The Hardy Boys by Franklin W. Dixon
Joey Pigza books by Jack Gantos
Lemony Snicket's A series of unfortunate events
The Magic Treehouse Series by Mary Pope Osborne
Middle School is Worse Than Meatloaf : A Year Told Through Stuff By Jennifer Holm
